Bring your favorite beverage that lacks alcohol to toast our too soon departed friend when we reach the gorge bottom.
Length: 2.5 miles
Difficulty: Moderately hard, trail goes straight down to gorge bottom and straight back up. Approximately 550ft of elevation in just under a mile.
Meeting Place: Two options: meet us in the Rt. 436 & Rt. 408 parking lot by 9:40am (kitty corner to the 7-11 gas station), or meet us at Trail 22 Trailhead, Finger Lakes Access F by 9:50am
Duration: 2.5 hours

Bring: Headlamp, warm layered clothing, gloves, hat and any emergency medication.
MICROSpikes recommended if light snow or ice. We'll have them to rent for $10 if you don't have a pair. Snowshoes if snow is 6+ inches or deeper, and are $20 to rent. Headlamps also available to rent for $10. All rental prices can be applied to purchase same day as rental.

Sycamore Trail Hike & Patty Moonen Memorial Hike
Join the Trail Otter Gang for the 2nd Winter 50 Hike . We'll meet in the one-way street parking lot in downtown Nunda, kitty corner to the 7-11 gas station, leaving by 9:40am. The trailhead is on River Road and we'll arrive by 9:50am to sign waivers and start hiking by 10am. Trail 22 is a workout, as we drop straight down to the gorge bottom and return the straight up to the parking area. Approximately 3 miles of hiking with steep climb out of the gorge. This trail allows hikers to explore the bottom of the gorge and see the largest sycamore tree in the park.
