Length: 3.0 miles

Difficulty: Mostly easy trail with one small hill to climb on Finger Lakes Trail and easy incline from bottom of Trail 21 to road.

Meeting Place: Two options: meet us in Mt. Morris at Zeppos Ice Cream shop by 9:40am (kitty corner to the 7-11 gas station), or meet us at the trailhead on River Road by 9:50am.

Bring: Headlamp, warm layered clothing, gloves, hat and any emergency medication.

MICROSpikes recommended if light snow or ice. We'll have them to rent for $10 if you don't have a pair. Snowshoes if snow is 6+ inches or deeper, and are $20 to rent. Headlamps also available to rent for $10. All rental prices can be applied to purchase same day as rental.

Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) & Trail 21

Join the Trail Otter Gang for another Winter Hike . We'll meet at Zeppos Ice Cream in Mt. Morris, leaving by 9:40am. The trailhead is on River Road, where the forest starts south of the turn off Rt. 408 (Nunda) and we'll arrive by 9:50am to sign waivers and start hiking by 10am. FLT Access D & Trail 21 are mostly flat, with a consistent rise from the bottom of Trail 21 to River Road. We will visit the FLT Lean To just off Trail 21. Approximately 3.5 miles of hiking with moderate climb up Trail 21 to River Road.
